Yes. Sign up and the Free plan starts immediately — no invitation needed. The paid plans below are available too: billing is live and the prices shown are what you pay. Features marked Roadmap are documented ahead of release and are not available yet.

One POST request to /v1/verify counts as one verification, regardless of the result (valid, invalid, or unknown). In a batch, each address in the list counts as one verification — submitting the batch itself is free. Requests that fail due to a malformed payload or missing API key do not count against your quota.

On the Free plan, requests above 1,000 return a 429 error. On paid plans, overages are billed at your plan's overage rate (e.g., €0.005 per verification on Growth), and you'll receive an email notification when you hit 80% and 100% of your quota.

No. Your monthly quota resets on your billing anniversary regardless of usage. This keeps billing predictable and avoids quota hoarding. Pay-as-you-go is a better fit if your usage is highly seasonal.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated to the day. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You can also switch between monthly and annual billing without losing your account.

Yes — each API call counts as one verification regardless of whether you've verified the same address before. If you're verifying the same list repeatedly, cache the results on your side. Our response includes a verified_at timestamp.

Yes. Starter, Growth, and Pro include a 14-day free trial with full access to the features shipped at that point, no credit card required to start. You are only charged when the trial ends, and you can cancel from the billing page before then.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), SEPA Direct Debit for EU customers, and bank transfer for annual contracts over €2,000/year. All payments are processed by Stripe.

Yes. Registered non-profits receive a 40% discount on any paid plan. Send your registration certificate to billing@mailbeam.dev and we'll apply the discount within one business day.

Yes. All paid accounts receive a PDF invoice via email on each billing date. EU VAT numbers are automatically validated and applied to invoices. Annual contracts can be invoiced upfront.

Mailbeam is designed as a GDPR-compliant data processor. Email addresses you send us are processed in real-time on EU-based servers (Frankfurt) and not stored after the response is returned. Batch jobs are the one exception: the list and its results are kept for 72 hours so you can download them, then deleted automatically. All plans include a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Scale and Enterprise plans additionally have it signed automatically in the account dashboard.
